Many modellers have their favorite ranges of paint they like to use on their models but seldom do the kit makers include those references implicitly. Now you can, in real-time, see direct comparisons* between over 25 different standards and ranges.
For example, Airfix kit instructions use Humbrol references for painting information but you want to use Testors Model Master on your kit. No problem, simply click to select Humbrol and Testors and you're done. Want it sorted by Testors color number - simply click on the heading and its done.
Built-in color swatch: Many colors have RGB approximations available, click on the row to see a color swatch where available.
Movable columns: Prefer to have the paint name column before the number column - simply drag the columns where you want them. It really is that easy.
My name is José Luis López, welcome to my website. I was born in May 1971 in Madrid, Spain. I´m a Civil Engineer but my real passion is not for bridges or buildings, it is modelling. I started making kits with my father in our living room. I remember long winter Sunday evenings at home watching my father making kits for hours. I ??helped?? him sometimes holding the glued pieces and looking for all those little parts falling on the floor, with virulent and violent fights with the carpet monster as it always tried to eat the pieces! My first kit was a Revell´s kit: a F-104 Starfighter, which I glued and professionally painted with a nice sand color with a superbly executed camo, applied with a green color fluorescent marker? But it was the first one of a long collection of airplanes, spaceships and tanks! Matchbox, Revel, Frog, Esci, Monogram ? I was a living modelling machine during those years. At about 16 or 17, girls became more interesting and exciting to me! University, my first work, my wedding with my wonderful and patient wife Marisol, and my two sons made me forget my hobby in an active way. Although I did buy modelling magazines from time to time and visit shops and eventually buy (and store) some kits. Just in 2006, as my kids demanded less time, and thanks to internet websites like Missing Lynx, Armorama, so on, I started to make kits again. But, in my opinion, I did it in the wrong way.

The trust of our customers is a must for us therefore we paying close attention to product's quality. Clothing, equipment, and armament is adequate to real world ones. Well thought-out figure's division makes it easier to painting. Models are made of quality resin, which makes possible extremely high level of detail unreachable to other materials. Traditionally, the sculptor makes master models manually. To improve the quality of specific elements, we use 3D printing technology, which in our opinion will be dominant in the near future.

The Eureka XXL company was founded at the beginning of 2002 in answer to a requests of a modeller??s society. Many modellers asked me about items created during my over twenty year old adventure with modelling.
Some of the companies which I offered co-operation in range of distribution my articles were only interested in copying my ideas, I decided to run my own sale as: Eureka XXL ?? Modellers Accessories.
First patent invented on individual needs was hand made tow-cable, used in model M2A2 Bradley made in 1998. After then sets of cables have been upgraded with resin eyelets and the last undertaking was series of accessories useful in building dioramas. Welcome to figurementors.com! I imagine a fair few of you will know who I am, my name is Jason Martin aka Redrum. I have previously worked for Figure Painter Magazine and Legion of the Cow, developing my writing skills and finding my ??place?? within this awesome community.
My own ??making?? encompasses sculpture, model-making, painting, graphic work and design. My ??teaching?? involves undergraduate or post-graduate lecturing/tutoring both here (England) and abroad; running my own short courses, whether independently or hosted by institutions; writing instructional books and articles. I am, for example, author of the (fairly successful) book Model-making: Materials and Methods and this WordPress site is meant to be a continuation or an ??update?? of it.
IPMS/USA is the United States Branch of the International Plastic Modelers' Society, whose roots can be traced to the startup of the first IPMS National Branch during the 1960's in Great Britain. In 1964 a US-based modeler applied for a charter to start the US Branch. In the ensuing 4 decades, IPMS/USA has become a 5,000 member, all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the modeling hobby while providing a venue for modelers to share their skills in a social setting, along with friendly but spirited competition in the form of local, regional, and national contests and conventions. As this is written, there are over 220 active US chapters (including groups in Canada and the Philippines as well as one "cyber-chapter" existing entirely on the internet). These chapters are organized into 13 geographically-determined Regions, overseen by Regional Coordinators. The IPMS/USA Executive Board, made up of elected and appointed members, serves as the overall governing body for IPMS/USA.
IPMS/Northern Virginia Modelers is a chartered chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society/USA branch. The chapter, which founded over 15 years ago, was the Chapter of the Year for Region 2 in 1990 and 97, and for all of IPMS/USA for 1990. The chapter boasts a membership of more then 100 members and grows every month. A typical meeting is attended by 75 - 80 members (that's a lot of experience). Membership in IPMS/USA is not required to attend meetings, but is encouraged ("help your society grow"). Our motto and goal is "have FUN modeling."

Eventually, the clan grew enough in size to seriously consider forming a new Chapter of IPMS Region 8. IPMS AVG is a unique melting pot where quite a few members are from aerospace, associated with the USAF, NASA, and major defense contractors.

The International Plastic Modellers' Society was founded in Great Britain in 1963, by modellers, for modellers. It was originally called the British Plastic Modellers' Society, but soon expanded into a truly International body. Members of all ages and abilities are welcome and build anything from basic kits to complicated scratch built models often using plastic as the primary medium but resin, white metal and card are also well represented. The Society will be celebrating its 50th year in 2013.
Over the years a network of branches has been built around the country where many of our members meet on a regular basis to share their knowledge and the fun of kit building. Many of our branches organise local model shows where branches and other clubs put on stunning displays of all types of models. The shows are supported by specialist traders so provide a wonderful opportunity to stock up on kits, accessories and books. There are presently over 80 local IPMS Branches scattered about Great Britain. Within the membership are now over 70 Special Interest Groups (SIGs). SIGs are organisations like Branches but focused on a modelling subject rather than a geographical location. They cover a huge range of interests including aviation, cars, ships, armour, figures, science fiction, campaigns, and Services and so on.
With over three thousand members in the UK alone the breadth of knowledge that can be tapped into is huge and The Technical Advisory Service helps members get the most from that knowledge. The Society provides other services such as the Decal and Instruction Sheet Banks and we publish a full colour magazine six times a year where all of the content is written by members.
Each year in November the Society hosts the biggest and best model show in the World at Telford in Shropshire, Scale ModelWorld which attracts thousands of visitors every year. The competition alone had over one thousand models on display last year. Many other countries now have their own IPMS organisations, many of whom display at Telford which brings a truly international flavour to the event.

Kit Form Services or KFS for short was set up in March of 1987 by me, Howard Whitehead, a former commercial vehicle mechanic & REME soldier with 20 years experience `on the spanners`. My modelling background is much like that of most modellers, I started as a boy of 6 years old with my first Airfix Spitfire & well, things just snowballed from there.
The company is still, as it always has been, a one man operation. Initially the work of KFS revolved solely around the building of commission models for customers in the road transport industry. It was not long before I started to identify a definate lack of available conversion parts to make the Italeri & Revell kits (the basis of most of my commission built models) more accurate & realistic.
